AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND EMPOWERING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND
SAFETY OF RICHMOND,.INDIANA, TO PURCHASE CERTAIN AUTOMOBILES FOR AND ON
BEHALF.OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA.
WHEREAS, the Board of ,Public Works and Safety of Richmond, Indiana, deems
it necessary.to purchase four automobiles, to -wit:
Three1965 Model Police Special Station Wagons
and One 1965 Model 2-door Sedan
to be used by the Police Department of the City of Richmond. -Indiana; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety of.Richmond, Indiana, adver-
tised for and received sealed bids on the purchase of the above described
automobiles, as required by law; and
WHEREAS, after due study and tabulation -of said bids,. the Board of Public
Works and Safety has determined that the cost of said automobiles will
exceed the sum of $2,000.00, the lowest bid submitted to the Board for
the three police special station wagons being in the sum of $5,106.60
and the lowest bid submitted to the Board for the 2-door sedan being in
the sum of $1,324.32;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Public Works and Safety of Richmond, Indiana,
be, and it is hereby authorized and empowered to purchase for and on behalf
of said City of Richmond, Indiana, the above described automobiles, to -wit:
Three 1965 Model Police Special Station Wagons
and One 1965 Model 2-door Sedan
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval by the Mayor of the City of Richmond,
Indiana.
