AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND EMPOWERING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND
SAFETY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, TO PURCHASE CERTAIN PE__5S'ONAj; PROPERTY
FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA.
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety of Richmond, Indiana,
deems it necessary to purchase certain personal property, to -wit:
One new 1965 model automobile
to be used by the Fire Department of the City of Richmond, Indiana; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety of Richmond, Indiana,
advertised for and received sealed bids on the purchase of such a new
1965 model automobile, as requiBed by law; and,
WHEREAS, after due study and tabulation of bids, the Board of Public
Works and Safety has determined that the cost of such a new 1965 model
automobile will exceed the sum of $2,000.00.;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RICHMOND, INDIANA:
Section 1: That the Board of Public Works and Safety of Richmond,
Indiana, be, and it is hereby authorized and empowered to purchase
for and on behalf of said City of Richmond, Indiana, the following
described personal property, to -wit:
One new 1965 model automobile.
Section 2: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval by the Mayor of the City of Richmond,
Indiana.
