SUBSTANDARD WATER SERVICE REPLACEMENTS
Chapman Street (Warren Street to Main Street)
Dear Residents and Abutters of Chapman Street:
The Watertown Department of Public Works and our contractor Paolini LLC, would like to
inform you that we will be replacing only sub -standard (cement lined and/or cast iron) water
services on your street. Work will begin on the Warren Street end and proceed towards
Main Street.
Replacements and upgrades will include only the water service pipe from the town water
main to the curb stop (usually in the sidewalk area). The work for each home will require
approximately 3-6 hours to complete.
Weather permittin_q, work will begin on Tuesday, June 29, 2021.
Based on our records, work is anticipated at the following house services:
#130/128, #122, #116/118, #114, #109, #66, #65, #55/57, #51/53, #49, #23, and #4/6.
If your address is not listed, then our records indicate your water service is copper in the
street and does not require replacement.
The Watertown Police will be informed of the construction and its effects. Typical hours of
construction work are from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
