The undersigned, being fifty-one (51) per cent or more
of the persons owning real estate in the following described
territory, which is contiguous to the City of Richmond, State of
Indiana, do hereby petition your honorable body for the passage
of a special ordinance annexing the following described territory
to the said City of Richmond, Indiana:
DESCRIPTION OF TERRITORY FOR
THE ANNEXATION OF WHICH THIS
PETITION IS PRESENTED:
Being a part of the Northwest Quarter of Section Two
(2), Township Thirteen (13), Range One (1) West, in
Wayne Township, Wayne County, Indiana, and being more
particularly described as follows, to -wit:
Beginning at a point, said point being a stone at the
northwest corner of the southwest quarter of said
section, and running thence north of the west line -of
said quarter, a distance of three hundred thirty and
twenty-five hundredths (330.25) feet to the centerline
of Backmeyer Road; thence south eighty-nine (89)
degrees twenty-two (22) minutes east, a distance of
two hundred ninety-five and five tenths (295.5) feet
to the centerline of a County ditch; thence south twenty-
one .(21) degrees and twenty-four (24) minutes west, a
distance of three hundred seven and forty-nine hundredths
.(307.49) feet along said county ditch; thence south
thirty-five (35) degrees fifty-five (55) minutes west,
a distance of three hundred fourteen and eighty-two
hundredths (314.82) feet along said county ditch to a
point .in the west line of the southwest quarter of said
section; thence north on said west line, a distance of
two hundred fifteen and twenty-five hundredths (215.25)
feet to the place of beginning, containing an area of two
and eleven_ hundredths (2.11) acres more _*or_less.
