After Joe and I visited the site, it appears the improvements do not leave room on the ocean side to allow for the
drainage swale shown on the approved drainage plan. One option to consider is eliminating the down spout at the rear of
that side containing all the water on the ocean side in a gutter with the downspout at the front. It appears the rear water
could be routed clockwise to the front down the other side. This is just one option. Upon correction Joe and I will revisit
the site.

It has come to the City's attention that the Temporary Certificate of Occupancy for the above referenced property has
expired.
It is imperative that the residence be code compliant and that all issues be resolved with the builder and the City so
that a final Certificate of Occupancy can be issued by the City. Failure to address this situation immediately could
result in the revocation of the temporary electrical release that was issued in anticipation of this project being
completed within the Temporary Certificate of Occupancy timeframe.
To get the process back on track, the City is going to re -issue a new Temporary Certificate of Occupancy with a 30-
day expiration date, so that you will be compliant for the next 30 days while you work with the Zoning Department to
complete what needs to be done to receive a final Certificate of Occupancy.
The goal will be to resolve any outstanding issues before this new Temporary Certificate of Occupancy expiries to
avoid having the power to the residence disconnected or citations to the builder and/or property owner being issued
depending on the type of code violation associated with the property.

I have a compliance letter from Boswell for 3 Seventeenth Place. He wrote: the project grading seems to be
in substantial compliance with the approved drainage plan with the following exception. The sidewalk to the east
was not removed — but upon inspection we believe it will not cause any problems to the adjacent property and
will drain sufficiently if left in place." I was told that the sidewalk was not removed because it straddled the
property line.

I would like to address the following changes to the construction of the building at 17th
Place.
1) The partitions at the parking level that are not in place are not structural; our
engineer has designed them to have alternate construction of concrete masonry.
They may also be of frame construction as long as it meets FEMA guidelines for
flood resistant construction.
2) The manner of repositioning of the domestic water lines has no detrimental effect
on the design, though firewall penetrations must be protected to maintain the one
(1) hour rating.

I would like to address the following changes to the construction of the building at 17`i'
Place.
1) The partitions at the parking level that are not in place are not structural; our
engineer has designed them to have alternate construction of concrete masonry.
They may also be of frame construction as long as it meets FEMA guidelines for
flood resistant construction.
2) The manner of repositioning of the domestic water lines has no detrimental effect
on the design, though firewall penetrations must be protected to maintain the one
(1) hour rating.
