AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1472-1953, CO-1,1IONLY KNO10 AS THE ZONING
ORDINANCE OF RICHM-OND, INDIANA, APPROVED APRIL 21, 1953.
BE IT ORDAINED BY the Comraon Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
SECTION 1. WHEREAS) Ordinance No. 1472-1953, Commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance
of Richmond, and the Zone map made a part thereof, described and designated as
'IS" Suburban District, the following described territory in Richmond Wayne, Wayne
County, Indiana, to wit:
2.434 acres, being a part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 28,
Township 14, Range 1 West, described as follows: Beginning at a
point where the north and south quarter line of Section 28 inter-
sects frith the center line of the Middleboro Pike; thence south-41
degrees west along the center line of said Pike 11 rods and 3
links; thence north 52 degrees west 156 feet to a stone marked
J.I.P.; thence south 47 degrees west-1 rod 24 links; thence south
27 degrees 15 minutes west 20 rods to the place of beginning of
this description; running thence south 61 degrees 30 minutes
east 4.4 rods to the center line of the 11iddleboro Pike: thence
south 41 degrees west along said center line 100 feet; thence
north 61 degrees 30 minutes west 1.1 rods, more or less, to a
stake which is 133.35 rods east of the southwest corner of Sec-
tion 28 and 32.43 rods north of the south line of said Section;
thence north 61 degrees 30 minutes west 150 feet; thence south
41 degrees west 100 feet; thence north 61 degrees 30 minutes
west 28.81 rods, more or less, to the south line of the Reid
Memorial Hospital grounds; thence north 49 degrees 30 minutes
east along tM south line of said grounds 8.59 rods to a crow-
bar; thence north 34 degrees 57 minutes east along said south
line 3.84 rods to an iron gas pipe in creek; thence south 61
degrees 30 minutes east 34.5 rods to the place of beginning,
containing 2.434 acres, more or less.
WHEREAS, it is the purpose and intention hereof to change the use of said terr-
itory to Local Business.
NOW THEREFORE:
SECTION 2. It is hereby ordained that the use district in the Zoning Ordinance and
on the Zone map be, and the same is hereby changed covering the above described
territory to Local Business and that said territory and the use and area thereof
be regulated accordingly.
SECTIO14 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, approval by the Mayor and publications as by law required.
