AN ORDINANCE AIENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1472-1953, 0011,1ONLY 001-0 T AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF
RICHMOND, INDIANA APPROVED APRIL 21, 1953.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
SECTION 1. IRBREAS; Ordinance No. 1472-1953, Commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance of
Richmond, and the Zone map made a part thereof, described and designated as "A"Residential
the following described territory in Richmond. Mayne County, Indiana, to wit:
"Being a part of the Southeast (quarter of Section Thirty-five (35), Township
Fourteen (14) North, Range one (1) nest being more particularly described
as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the east line of the south-
east quarter of said section thirty-five (35) and the centerline of United
States Highway Number Forty (U.S.40), and running thence, from said begin-
ning point, north, along the east line of said southee.,t,.q ter, a dis-
tance of two hundred ninety-three and twenty-eight hundredths (293.28)
feet; thence north fifty-one (51)-degrees and fifty-one (51) minutes west,
four hundred thirty-seven (437) feet, thence south eighty-five (85) degrees
and forty-eight (48) minutes west, eight hundred forty andeighty-eight
hundredths (840.88) feet; thence south one (01) degree and twenty-nine (29)
minutes west, six hundred forty-one and forty hundredths (641.40) feet to
a point in the centerline of said United States Highway Number Fort. (U.S.40);
thence eastwardly, along said centerline, and along a zero (0) degree and
fifty-six (56) minute curve to the lefty a distance of one thousand two
hundred seven and one hundredths (1207.01) feet to the place of beginning,
containing an area of fifteen and sixty-two hundredths (15.62) acres, more
or less. SUBJECT TO: The right-of-way of United States Highway Number
Forty (U.S. 40)."
1-MI REAS, it is the purpose and intention hereof to change the use of said territory to
General Business.
NOW THEREFORE:
SECTION 2. It is hereby ordained that the use district in the Zoning Ordinance and on the
Zone map be, and the same is hereby changed covering the above described territory to
General Business and that said territory and the use and area thereof be regulated
accordingly.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in fu11 force and effect from and after its passage,
approval by the Mayor and publications as by law required.
