AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1472-1953, C0=L-,ONLY KNO1C AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF
RICHEOAiD, INDIANA APPROVED APRIL.21, 1953.
BE IT ORDAINED BY the Common Council of the'City of Richmond, Indiana
SECTION 1. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1472-1953, Commonly knoim as .the Zoning Ordinance of
Richmond, and the Zone map ma.de'a.part thereof, described and 'designated as;"A" Residential
the folloi-ring described territory in Richmond, Mayne County, Indiana, to wit:
A part of the Obuthwest quarter of Section 34, Township 14 north, Range 1
west, in the. City of Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana, the tract of land
herein conveyed being described as follows:'
Beginning in the center line of U.S.Highway No. 40, formerly known as the
Wayne County Turnpike, at the northeast corner of land conveyed by Leonidas
Kennedy to Everett R. Lemon and !',Lary N. Lemon by deed recorded in Deed
Record 182, page 557, in the Recorder's Office of said County, said point
being seventy-eight and 50/100 (78.50) feet south eighty-eight (88) degrees
west, measured along the center line of said Highway, from the northwest
corner of land now or formerly owned by Obie Owen Hamilton as shown. in
Deed Record.188, page 307, in the Recorder's Office of said County, said
northwest corner of said Hamilton's land being three hundred fifty-four
and 75/100 (354.75) feet south eighty-eight '(88) degrees west, measured
along the center line of said Highway, from the east lire of said quarter
section and from said point of beginning running south two hundred eighty-
five (285) feet; thence north eighty-eight (88) degrees east, parallel
with the center line of said Highway, ninety-one and 72/100 (91.72) feet,
more or less, to the west line of said Hamilton's land; thence northwest-
wardly two hundred eighty-five (285) feet, riore or less, to the center
line of said Highway at a point seventy-eight and 50/100 (78.50) feet
from the place of beginning; thence south eighty-eight (88) degrees west,
along the center of -said Highway seventy-eight and 50/100 (78.50) feet
to the place of beginning. SUBJECT to the right of tray for said U.S.
Highway No. 40, and containing an area, exclusive of said Highway right
of way, of 0.514 acres, more or less.
WHEREAS it is the purpose and intention hereof to.change the use of said territory to
"C" Residential.
NOW THEREFORE:
SECTION 2. It is hereby ordained that the use district in the Zoning Ordinance and on
the Zone map be, and the same is hereby changed covering the above described territory
to "C" Residential and that said territory and the use and area thereof be regulated
accordingly.
SECTION.3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval by the i,ia.yor and publications as by law required.
