A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING
A CONTRACT TO SIALIC CONTRACTORS CORPORATION dba SHAWNAN AS
THE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER IN THE AMOUNT OF $279,425 FOR THE
MULFORD AVENUE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PROJECT NUMBER 4011.67.004,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Mulford Avenue Improvement Project, Project No. 4011.67.004,
is scheduled for completion during Fiscal Year 2012 -2013; and
WHEREAS, Public Works staff advertised the project on June 14, 15 and 21,
2012; and
WHEREAS, twenty -six (26) contractors received project plans and contract
documents; and
WHEREAS, the bid opening took place in the office of the City Clerk on July 5,
2012, and the Director of Public Works / City Engineer has ascertained that Sialic
Contractors Corporation dba SHAWNAN was the apparent lowest responsible bidder for
its base bid of $279,425; and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that this contractor has the
necessary experience for this type of project.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the contract for the Mulford Avenue Improvement Project,
Project No. 4011.67.004 be awarded to Sialic Contractors Corporation dba SHAWNAN
for its low bid of $279,425.
Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the agreement
between the City of Lynwood and Sialic Contractors Corporation dba SHAWNAN.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
