ORDINANCE NO. 20 92- /,964-
AN ORDINANCE TO ANNEX TO THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, CERTAIN
TERRITORY CONTIGUOUS THERETO, DESCRIBING THE SAME, PROVIDING FOR
THE PUBLICATION THEREOF,.AND FIXING THE TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL
TAKE EFFECT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RICHMOND, WAYNE COUNTY, INDIANA.
SECTION 1. That the following described territory,be annexed to
and declared to be part of,said City of Richmond, Indiana:
Being a part of the Southeast Quarter of Section Six (6),
Township Thirteen (13)-North, Range One (1) West in Wayne
Township, Wayne County, Indiana, and being more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at a point;in the south line ofthe southeast quarter,
of.said section Six (6), said point being five hundred forty-
five (545)'.feet west of a marked-stone.at the southeast corner
of.said southeast -quarter,: -said point on the west. corporation
line of the City of Richmond Indiana, and on the west line.
of Gurney Drive in Earlham South Sub -Division, Second Addition,
to said City of Ric.hmond,-.Indiana, and running thence, from
said beginning point, north,. along the. west line of said Gurney
Drive and along the west -line of said Sub,. -division, eight
hundred. Thirty-five and eighty-four hundredths (835.84) feet
to the north line of Earlham Drive in.said Sub -division; thence
east, along said north line, fifty (50) feet to the west line
of said Sub -division; thence north, along the west line of
said Sub=division and along the west line of Glen -Elsa Addition
eight hundred two and fifty-six hundredths (802.56) feet to'
the centerline of'the abandoned Evansville and Richmond Rail-
road and the present south corporation line of said City of
'Richmond, Indiana; thence west, parallel to the south line of
said quarter and along said centerline and corporation line,
one thousand four hundred sixty=one and five tenths (1461-.5)
feet to the east line of the Earlham Cemetery Tract; thence-.
south.along said east line and the southern extension of said
line, and parallel to the east line of said southeast quarter,
one thousand six hundred thirty-eight and forty hundredths..
(1638.40) feet to the south line of said southeast quarter;
thence east, along said south line, one thousand four hundred
eleven and five tenths (1411.5) feet to the place of beginning,
containing an area of fifty-four and one hundredths (54.01)
acres, more or less. -
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full -force and effect from
and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and publication
as by law required.
