Mr. Driscoll,
Members of the Watertown Men's Summer Basketball League as well as family and
friends of David Timperio and Kenny Vincent have made donations to support the
purchase and installation of a granite bench, additional pavers and plantings adjacent the
granite benches that were dedicated to Billy O'Brien and Jay Jerahian at Saltonstall
Park.
David and Kenny were long time members of the Watertown Men's Summer Basketball
League, were competitive athletes, well respected and well liked. Unfortunately, both
passed away suddenly and unexpectedly.
The granite bench and the corresponding dedication ceremony and celebration will pay
tribute to these gentlemen and hopefully ease the pain of their loss for their families and
friends.
We are very grateful to Watertown Landscaping for the design, purchase and
installation of this area. It is beautiful, functional and will create a lasting memory of
lives well lived.
The total value of the donated amount which includes the purchase of the granite bench,
engraving, pavers, plantings and labor is approximately $5000.00. A picture of the area
is included in this document.
Please let me know if there is any other information that is required.
Regards,
Peter Centola
Director of Recreation
