Resident and Abutters of Common Street and Columbia Street:
Please be advised the Watertown Department of Public Works and our
contractor, Onyx Corp, will begin the process of road reclamation on Common
Street, from Mt Auburn Street to Columbia Street and Columbia Street from
Common Street to Russell Ave.
Reclamation of the road is scheduled to start; WEATHER PERMITTING,
Wednesday, August 1, 2018. Prior to reclamation, road crews will be lowering
street castings. The Public Works Department will make every reasonable effort
to inform you of various aspects of this road construction prior to each process
commencing.
`No Parking' signs will be posted along the area selected for road work. Please
do not park your car in front of the posted area. The Watertown Police will be
informed of the construction and its effects. Typical hours of construction work
are from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
We understand that the process is noisy, messy and disruptive and apologize in
advance for inconvenience you may experience. We know you will enjoy the
improved appearance and condition of your sidewalks for many years in the
future.
