Home My Public Portal Aboutr 14-105' oJ311t1za11 of of (ffa term ' #, �K T- No. 14 -105 Ply 15, 2014 Date of Adoption AUTHORIZING AND AWARDING BID 2014 ROAD INIPROVEMENT PROGRA CONTRACT ° B" WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret, ( "Borough "), wishes to receive bids for the 2014 Road Improvement Program — Contract `B" Project; and WHEREAS, the Borough has publicly advertised for the receipt of bids for the 2014 Road Improvement Program — Contract `B" Project; and WHEREAS, the Borough has solicited and received six (6) bid proposals for the 2014 Road Improvement Program — Contract `B" Project follows: WHEREAS, Black Rock Enterprises, LLC, has submitted the lowest bid for said contract as evidenced by the response on file with the Borough's Purchasing Department and with the Borough Engineer; and WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has reviewed the above bid proposals and has recommended the award of a contract to Black Rock Enterprises, LLC, in a total amount not to exceed 52,627,555.70; and WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that 8mds are or will be available for said purpose. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret as follows: I. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Black Rock Enterprises, LLC, of Old Bridge, N.J. for the Project for the sum of $2,627,555.70 in accordance in all respects with the request for proposals and bid on same. 2. That a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing Department and Borough Engineer. 3. That the aforementioned award of bid is contingent upon formal approval from the New Jersey Department of Labor, Division of Wage and Hour Compliance.
