2034 ROAD I PROGRAM

WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret, (`Borough "), wishes to receive bids for the 2014 Road
Improvement Program — Part "2 -B" Project; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has publicly advertised for the receipt of bids for the 2014 Road
Improvement Program — Part "2 -B" Project; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has solicited and received five (5) bid proposals for the 2014 Road
Improvement Program — Part "2 -B" Project follows:

WHEREAS, S. Brothers General Contractors, has submitted the lowest bid for said contract as evidenced
by the response on file with the Borough's Purchasing Department and with the Borough En .gineer; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has reviewed the above bid proposals and has recommended the
award of a contract to S. Brothers General Contractors, in a total amount not to exceed $2,205,993.65;
and
N7VHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for said purpose.
NOW TEHREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret as
follows:
1. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract
with S. Brothers General Contractors, of South River, N.I. for the Project for the sum
of S2,205,993.65 in accordance in all respects with the request for proposals and bid
on same.
2. That a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing
Department and Borough Engineer.
3. That the aforementioned award of bid is contingent upon formal approval from the
New Jersey Department of Labor, Division of Wage and Hour Compliance.

and certified as a true copy of the
original on May 16, 2014.

THE CONTRACTOR does hereby agree to perform the following: AWARD OF BID 2014 ROAD
IMPROVCEMENT PROGRAM — CONTRACT "26" PROJECT.
NOT TO EXCEED $2,205,998.65.
According to the terms set forth in the Resolution & Bid.
THE BOROUGH does hereby agree to pay the Contractor the sum set forth in the Resolution.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have hereunder set their hands and seals or caused these
presents to be signed by their proper corporate offices and their corporate seals to be hereto
