NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Bwougli of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows: I. That the proposal from CbIE Associates for engineering services with regard to the 2014 Road Program Contracts "A & B" Construction Administration Phase Services, in a total amount of $225,000.00 billable in accordance with CME's existing contract with the Borough is hereby approved; 2. That annexed hereto is a copy of said proposal; 3. That this action is approved as an award of a professional services contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11- 5(1)(a) in accordance with the Borough's Fair and Open Process as authorized by law. This proposal outlines the scope and costs of services necessary for CME Associates to administer construction phase services to ensure the timely and successful completion of this capital improvement project. Contract A was awarded to S. Brothers, Inc. on April 10, 2014 in the amount of $2,181,037.50 and Contract B was awarded to Black Rock Enterprises on May 15, 2014 in the amount of $2,627,555.70. The combined total of these projects Is $4,808,593;20, With this in mind we offer the following scope of services: Construction Administration Phase Services Our office will provide full time observation of the site improvements for the anticipated contract time including the following services: Attend pre- construction meetings; Coordinate with the successful contractors to ensure compliance with the final contract documents; 3. Provide assistance with interpretation of contract documents; 4. Review shop drawings; 5. Provide responses to RFI's from contractor and provide design related services on an on -cail, as- needed basis. 6.
