The Wellsburg Town Council met in regular session on August 7,
1972, with Mayor Eckhoff presiding and Councilmen Huisman, Hippen,
Heinrich, and Fairbanks present.
Minutes of the previous meeting were approved on a motion by
Hippen, seconded by Fairbanks,. Carried.
On a motion by Fairbanks, seconded by Heinrich, the treasurer's
report was approved as read. Carried.
Huisman moved, Heinrich seconded to allow for payment the follow-
ing bills:
Aeilt Terfehn, net salary
Herman DeVries, net salary
Henry J. Grobe, net salary
Rick Penning, police duty & street work,
net salary
Lawrence D. Bausman, police duty
Arnold Curry, police duty
Fred Wubbens, labor on streets
Deters Auto Service, mower repair
Wellsburg Herald, proceedings, claims, & budget
Clary Concrete Materials, asphalt
Blythe & Sons Cons., labor on water main &
street crossings -men and machines
State Hygienic Lab., water analysis
Matt Parrott & Sons, water ledger sheets
Water Tower Paint & Repair Co., maintenance
contract ending August 1, 1972
Sailer Ford, tractor parts

On a motion by Hippen, seconded by Fairbanks, the council agreed
to install a 2" water main from Jefferson St. to Madison St. on McAdoo
St. Carried.
A motion was made by Huisman, seconded by Heinrich to suspend the
rules and have the third and final reading of Ordinance #1001 relating
to a stop sign at the intersection of West 5th Street and Monroe Street
in the Town of Wellsburg.
Roll call of votes:
Ayes: Fairbanks, Huisman, Hippen, Heinrich
Nays: None Absent: Van Deest Carried.
On a motion by Fairbanks, seconded by Hippen, Ordinance #1001 was
adopted.

On a motion by Heinrich, seconded by Huisman, it was agreed to
issue new fire protection agreements with the Townships of Melrose,
Shiloh, Pleasant Valley, and German, effective July 1, 1972, subject
to approval of township trustees of the respective townships. Carried.
As there were no objectors to the Proposed 1973 Budget, a motion
was made by Heinrich, seconded by Hippen, to accept the proposal as
drafted.
