Backhoe &Grader RFP
It is my recommendation that the City accept the bid from Flint Equipment for $167,600 or the
following reasons:
1.) The backhoe has a larger lifting capacity, larger hydraulic pump, easier to maintain, has a
John Deere equipment link for diagnostics, has an epoxy anti-rust treatment, and we have had
good parts and service from John Deere in the past.
2.)The grader has the extra scarifier, enclosed cab w/air which would increase productivity and
lower the chance of weather affecting controls.
3.) They have the equipment on their yard for immediate delivery.
4.) Bets price for the best equipment.
