AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT
WITH MATTIOLA SERVICES, LLC,
RE: ASBESTOS MANAGEMENT SERVICES

i WFIEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized asbestos management
services for the properties associated with Project Area B in the Borough; and
WHEREAS, iviattiola Services, LLC, has submitted a proposal for said asbestos
management services to include an asbestos identification survey for asbestos removal in
an amount not to exceed $18,000.00; and
WHEREAS, as the Borough of Engineer has reviewed the aforementioned proposal and
recommended the awarding of the contract for the same to Mattiola Services, LLC, of
Spotswood, NJ; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that fiends are or will be available
for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey as follows:
1. The proposal from Mattiola Services, LLC, for asbestos management
services for the properties associated with Project Area B in an amount
not to exceed $18,000.00 is hereby approved.
2. That this action is approved as an award of a professional services
contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11- 5(1)(a) in accordance with the
Borough's Fair and Open Process as authorized by law.

THE CONTRACTOR does hereby agree to perform the following: ASBESTOS SURVEY OF PROPERTIES
ASSOCIATED WITH PROJECT AREA B, CARTERET, NJ.
NOT TO EXCEED $18,000.0
According to the terms set forth in the Resolution.
THE BOROUGH does hereby agree to pay the Contractor the sum set forth in the Resolution.
