AN ORDINANCE LEVYING AND ASSESSING SPECIAL
ASSESSMENTS ON CERTAIN LOTS, PIECES AND PARCELS OF
LAND LIABLE FOR SUCH SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS TO PAY THE
COSTS OF INTERNAL IMPROVEMENTS IN THE CITY OF BEL
AIRE, KANSAS, AS HERETOFORE AUTHORIZED BY RESOLUTION
NOS. R-91-01, R-91-03 AND R-91-07, RESPECTIVELY, OF
THE CITY; AND PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTION OF SUCH
SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BEL
AIRE, KANSAS:
SECTION 1. For the purpose of paying the costs of the
following described improvements in the City:
Construction of pavement on Woodlawn Court
from the East line of Woodlawn to and
including the cul-de-sac to serve the
property described as Lots 1 through 20,
inclusive, BlOck 1, Woodlawn Court Addition;
Construction of a sanitary
.serve property described as
20 inclusive, Block 1,
Addition; and
sewer
Lots 1
Woodlawn
main to
through
Court
Construction of a water main to serve
property described as Lots 1 through 20,
inclusive, Block I, Woodlawn Court Addition;
to the City of Bel Aire, Kansas (the "City"); as heretofore
authorized by Resolution Nos. R-91-01, R-91-03, R-91-07,
respectively, of the City, there are hereby levied and assessed
against the properties liable therefor the several amounts set
forth on Exhibit A attached hereto following the description of
each lot, piece or parcel of land, with such clerical or
admini st rat i ve amendment s the reto as may be approved by the
City Attorney.

SECTION 2, The amounts so levied and assessed as set forth
on Exhibi t A of thi s Ordi nance sha 11 be due and payable from
and after the date of publication of this Ordinance; and the
City Clerk shall notify the owners of the above described
properties, insofar as known to said City Clerk, of the amounts
of their respective assessments; and, said notice shall further
state that unless such assessments are paid within thirty (30)
days from the date of publication of this Ordinance, bonds will
be issued therefor. The City Clerk shall certify to the County
Clerk, in the same manner and at the same time as other taxes
are certified, for a period of 10 years, all of the above
assessments which have not been paid within thirty (30) days
after the date of publication of this Ordinance, together wi th
interest on such amount thereof at a rate not exceeding the
maximum rate therefor as prescribed by the laws of the State of
Kansas; and such amounts so cert i f ied sha 11 be placed on the
tax ro 11 sand sha 11 be co llected as other t axes a re co llected
over said period of 10 years, the levy for each year being a
portion of the principal amount of the assessment plus one (1)
year's interest on the amount remaining unpaid.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage, approval and publication once
in the official city newspaper.
