Dear Brewster Conservation Commission,
Minor Chan2e Request — Order of Conditions SE 9-1751
This letter is written to request a minor change to existing Sea Pines Condominium Order of
Conditions SE 9-1751, requesting approval to install a second row of sand drift fencing to be
installed parallel to the exiting drift fence. A location map of the existing sand drift fence is
shown below:
Site Map/Location of Work:
As shown in the photographs below, the existing drift fencing, which was installed in 2018,
captured a large amount of sand the first year after installation, and as shown in the photograph
of the current conditions, a significant amount of sand has now been captured, substantially
aiding the redevelopment of the coastal dune.
Existing Sand Drift Fence —1 Year after Installation
Current Condition - 2 years after Installation:
Minor Change Request
This minor change request to the existing Sea Pines Order of Conditions is to install a second
row of sand drift fencing parallel to the existing row of fencing. This second row of fencing
would be a simple straight line of fencing, and would not include the short sections of fencing
located at 90 degrees to the fence line, as shown in the existing installation above. The new
fencing would be installed approximately 6 feet from the current fence line with the objective of
completely burying the current fencing over the next year or two.
Your approval to proceed with this important coastal dune redevelopment project would be
greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Robert Wiesel
President, Sea Pines Condominium Association
