HOSMER SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL PROJECT
ROAD CONSTRUCTION NOTICE
BOYLSTON STREET, FROM FAIRFIELD ST. TO CHAUNCEY ST. INCLUDING
INTERSECTIONS
CHAUNCEY STREET
We have been informed by MassDOT that the contractor for the Hosmer School Safe Routes to
School Project will be fully remobilized on Tuesday, October 9.
Today, the contractor is working to address safety issues within the work area and to provide
updated temporary pedestrian detours to allow work on the north (even) side of Boylston Street
to continue.
The attached figure shows new pedestrian access paths to the Hosmer School. Police
Department details will continue to assist the school crossing guards with pedestrian movement
through the area.
We appreciate the patience that motorists, pedestrians, and abutters have had during this
complex construction project.
