Mee Jr. Superintendent March 28, 2019 HOSMER SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL PROJECT CURBING, SIDEWALK, AND DRIVEWAY AND INSTALLATION BOYLSTON STREET, FROM FAIRFIELD ST. TO CHAUNCEY ST. INCLUDING INTERSECTIONS CHAUNCEY STREET J. Tropeano, Inc. is scheduled to remobilize to complete the Hosmer Safe Routes to School project on Monday, April 1, 2019 WEATHER PERMITTING. Typical work hours will be 7 AM to 4 PM. Work will include: • Repair of winter damage —damaged curb stones, sidewalk panels, etc. • Installation of a catch basin on Chauncey Street near Hancock Street. • Final loam and seeding, installation of landscaping, and private property repairs. • Raising castings and final (top) course paving. • Line painting. • You will be notified by the Contractor 24 hours prior to any work that affects access to your driveway. Driveways may remain closed up to three days to permit the concrete to cure. Please have your car out of your driveway and work area by 7:00 AM on the date of the pour. Pedestrians may use the newly poured sidewalks within 24-hours of the pour. • The Watertown Police will be informed of the construction and its effects, including the need for extended on -street parking due to driveway repairs. Do to the nature of the work, residents should expect limited road and sidewalk closures, detours and parking restrictions for this phase of the work.
