WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT
AFFECTED AREAS: HUNT STREET, MAPLE STREET AT GALEN STREET

Dear Residents and Abutters of Hunt Street, Maple Street and Galen Street:
The Watertown Department of Public Works, through its contractor, C. Naughton Corporation, will
be continuing the ongoing Water Main construction work on Hunt Street, WEATHER PERMITTING
,beginning Wednesday, May 1, 2019 Also included is the work at the water main connection on
Maple Street at Galen Street. The scope of work will include installation of permanent pavement for
water utility trenches and miscellaneous other work on these streets.
During the course of this work, you may experience inconveniences to vehicular travel and parking.
On -street parking will not be allowed near the work area during this period; however, access to
driveways will be maintained at all times. Roads around the work area will be closed to through
traffic.
The expected work hours on Hunt Street are from 7 AM to 3:30 PM. Please note that the roadway
work at Galen Street may require night work to provide adequate traffic control. You will be notified
of night work 48 hours prior to the work.
