SUBSTANDARD WATER SERVICE
REPLACEMENTS
Kimball Road
Dear Residents and Abutters of Kimball Road:
The Watertown Department of Public Works and our contractor, Commonwealth
Construction, would like to inform you that we will be replacing only sub -standard
(cement lined and/or cast iron, or undersized copper) water services. This work is
in preparation for future road reconstruction next year.
Replacements and upgrades will include only the water service pipe from the
town water main to the curb stop (in the sidewalk area). The work for each home
will require approximately 3-6 hours to complete.
Weather permittin_q, work will begin on Monday, November 4, 2019 (mobilization
Friday, November 1).
Currently, work is anticipated at the following house services: 15-17, 21-23, 24-26,
31, 33, 34, and 40 Kimball Road; 42 Maplewood Street; and 650 Mt. Auburn St.
The Watertown Police will be informed of the construction and its effects. Typical
hours of construction work are from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
We understand that the process is noisy, messy and disruptive and apologize in
advance for inconvenience you may experience.
