AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE A[7THORMNG
THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND`APPROPRIATION
OF A GRANT FROM LIFESTRE.AM SERVICES, INC.
WHEREAS, In accordance with Indiana Code (IC) 36-I--4-10, a municipality may execute any
documents necessary to receive money from the state or federal government or any
other source, and said documents are prepared and executed by the City executive
administration, provided that the Common Council of the City of Richmond as the
legislative body of the City approves an ordinance for the appropriation of any
monies received in accordance with IC 3 G-4- 6-1 S; and
WHEREAS, LifeStream Services, Inc. has ' grant funding available through its Title III (Older
American Act Funds) Grant Program; and
Is
WHEREAS, The City of Richmond desires to submit a grant application to obtain funding for
Rose View Transit transportation services for the second half of fiscal year 2019 and
for the first half of fiscal year 2020; and
WHEREAS, No local match is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond, in accordance with IC 3 6-1-4-10, has submitted or will submit a
grant application to LifeStream Services, Inc. -for the Title III Grant Program to help fund the Rose
View Transit transportation services for the second half of fiscal year 2019 and the first half of fiscal
year -2020.
2. The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to
Thirty-six Thousand Three Hundred Sixty-three Dollars and Sixty Cents ($36,363.60).
3. All grant funding, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated to help fund
the Rose View Transit transportation services for the second half of fiscal year 2019 and the first half
of fiscal year 2020.
Passed and adopted this day of , 2019, by the Common Council of
the City of Richmond, Indiana.
