NOTICE OF CONSTRUCTION
LEXINGTON STREET
PAVING RESTORATION
July 26, 2019
Dear Lexington Street Abutters:
The Watertown Department of Public Works announces that National Grid will be grinding and
paving the new gas main trenches on your street. The scope of work will include centerline to
curb line over the newly installed gas main down Lexington Street from the intersection of Main
Street / Lexington Street to Warren Street.
We will first grind down the trench and then place new asphalt down. Immediately following
completion of the new asphalt, restoration of all disturbed concrete sidewalks from National Grid
will be replaced.
Work will begin Monday July 29, 2019 and is anticipated to be completed on Friday August 16,
2019. Work hours will generally be between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm Monday through Friday, with
the potential for Saturday work. The road will remain open during construction.
Parking will be limited during the daily construction process.
We regret any inconvenience this may cause, please obey posted no parking signs to make this
process as smooth as possible.
Should you have any questions concerning the project, please contact National Grid at 781-907-
3804. If the Watertown Department of Public Works can be of any assistance, please feel free to
contact the DPW at 617-972-6420.
We appreciate your cooperation and patience throughout the duration of this project.
