Rescheduled from 8/11/18 Due to Weather
Dear Residents and Abutters of Maplewood Street,
The sewer and drain reconstruction on Maplewood Street is nearly complete. The Town's
Contractor, Commonwealth Construction and Utilities, Inc. will install two catch basins that were
found to be in compromised condition during construction on Saturday, August 18, 2018. Work
will begin at 8 AM. This work will complete the sewer and drain repairs on the street.
Currently, the trenches have been paved with a "temporary" pavement to allow for road
settlement. After sufficient settlement time, the trenches will be cleaned up, recompacted and
repaved with a permanent pavement. Damaged sidewalk panels will also be replaced. The
Town is also investigating longer term repairs for the road.
