IMPORTANT NOTICE
May 14, 2020
Dear Residents/Businesses of Cross Street, Main Street, Hunt Street, Maple Street and
Pond Street;
The Department of Public Works and our contractor, Lorusso Corporation, will be milling
marked sections of these streets, WEATHER PERMITTING, on Monday and Tuesday,
May 18 and May 19, 2020. Shortly thereafter, crews will be adjusting road castings and
the street will be paved. You will be notified prior to paving.
These streets will be closed to motor vehicle traffic during the milling process which entails
cutting off a 1.5 inch deep section of the roadway. Please park your motor vehicles out of
the construction area on the intersecting side streets if necessary.
Please do not park your car on the street during the milling process. Vehicles not removed
from the street by 7:00 am, will be towed, per order of the Department of Public Works.
The Watertown Police will be informed of the construction and its effects.
We understand that the process is noisy, messy and disruptive and apologize in advance
for inconvenience you may experience. We know you will enjoy the improved appearance
and condition of your roadway for many years in the future.
