A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
A ONE YEAR CONTRACT EXTENSION TO COMPLETE THE TWO YEAR TREE
TRIMMING CYCLE WITH TRIMMING LAND COMPANY, INC. IN THE AMOUNT NOT -
TO- EXCEED $176,000; AND AUTHORIZING STAFF ISSUE AN RFP AND REQUEST
BIDS FOR TREE PRUNING, PLANTING, AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES
WHEREAS, the current tree trimming contract has expired; and
WHEREAS, such services are needed to maintain the city trees; and
WHEREAS, staff suggest a one year Contract extension for the Tree Pruning
and Maintenance Services Project to Trimming Land Company, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the one year contract extension is necessary to complete the
tree trimming cycle, (areas three and four) to be awarded to Trimming Land Company,
Inc. in the amount not -to exceed $176,000 for Basic Services, and contingencies for FY
2012 — 2013 and is hereby approved.
Section 2. The City Council further authorizes City Staff to issue a request for
proposals for the provision of tree pruning, planting and maintenance services following
the one year Contract Extension granted to Trimming Land Company, Inc. herein.
Section 3. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the agreement
between the City of Lynwood and Trimming Land Company, Inc. confirming the
Contract extension in a form approved by the City Attorney.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 5 . The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 7 day of August, 2012.
