A RESOLUTION OF THE_ CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD ACCEPTING
BIRCH STREET WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PROJECT NUMBER
4011.67.921 AS BEING COMPLETE; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO
PROCESS THE RECORDATION OF THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION
WHEREAS, on February 21, 2012, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
awarded the Birch Street Water Main Improvement Project, Project No. 4011.67.921
contract to Vido Samarzich Inc. in the amount of $499,150; and
WHEREAS, the project started on February 21, 2012 and was completed on
June 29, 2012; and
WHEREAS, the project is funded with the 2008 Enterprise Bond funds and
Water funds; and
WHEREAS, the final construction cost is $540,434.41; and
WHEREAS, Public Works staff conducted the final inspection on June 29, 2012
and found that all work is complete in accordance with the project plans and
specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1, That the City Council of the City of Lynwood accepts the Birch
Street Water Main Improvement Project, Project No. 4011.67.921 as complete in
accordance with contract documents; and authorizes the City Engineer to process the
recordation of the Notice of Completion.
Section 2. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 7` day of August, 2012.
