A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING SURPLUS PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the City of Greencastle owns a 1976 Ward La France (E -1) fire truck which
is no longer needed or used by the Greencastle Fire Department;
WHEREAS, the City of Greencastle desires to transfer the title of said fire buck to the
Putnamville Correctional Facility Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, said transfer is being made pursuant to Indiana Code §36- 1 -11 -8;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY OF GREENCASTLE hereby
transfers title to its 1976 Ward La France (E -1) fire truck to the Putnamville Correctional Facility
for the consideration of $1.00. Said transfer shall take place upon passage of a comparable
resolution by the Putnamville Correctional Facility.
Further, the City of Greencastle makes no warranty whatsoever regarding the fire truck,
and the Putnamville Correctional Facility takes title to said truck "as is" and shall hold the City
harmless for any liability arising from this transfer of property.
PASSED AND RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle at its
regular meeting this 10 day of April, 2001.
