mLLSBOROUGH TOWN BOARD
July 10, 2000
The Hillsborough Town Board held a Closed Session on July 10th, 2000 at 7:30 PM in the
Hillsborough Town Barn for the purpose of discussing potential litigation. Present for the
Closed Session were Mayor Horace H. Johnson, Sr., Commissioners Kenneth Chavious, Frances
Dancy, Evelyn Lloyd, Mark Sheridan, and Brian Lowen. StafIpresent were Town Manager Eric
Peterson, Finance Director Sherry Carter, Town Clerk Donna Armbrister, and Police Chief
Nathaniel Eubanks.
Mayor Horace H. Johnson, Sr., opened the Closed Session.
Finance Director Sherry Carter presented three cases of delinquent Food and Beverage Taxes for
the Board to consider. They were the Inn at Teardrops, the King Street Coffee Shop, and the
Riverside Sandwich Shop. After some discussion, and by consensus, the Board directed the staff
to turn all three establishments over to the Town Attorney for collection if payment is not
received by noon on Friday, July 14,2000.
Upon a motion by Commissioner Chavious, seconded by Commissioner Dancy, the Board
moved to return to Open Session.
