State Election
November 3rd , 2020
In accordance with the warrant, the inhabitants of Brewster, qualified to vote in the
State Election met at the Brewster Baptist Church , 1848 Main Street, Brewster, on
Tuesday, November 3rd , 2020 .
The Covid- 19 Pandemic led to the enactment of Chapter 115 of the Acts of 2020
calling for 14 days of In-person early voting along with a vote-by-mail option . The
Town of Brewster mailed out 4429 early vote - by- mail ballots , along with 384 absentee
ballots . 3599 of these ballots were returned by mail, the rest chose to vote in person
after receiving a vote - by- mail ballot, requiring the vote -by-mail ballot to be canceled .
From October 17th through October 30th Early Voting In-person was offered in the
lower level of Town Hall . The daily voter turnouts are listed below, some individuals
who had requested a vote - by-mail ballot chose to cancel that ballot and vote in- person
during this early voting period .
The election workers duly sworn to work the In- Person Early Voting period were as
follows : Nancy Burdych , David Briggs , Mary Jo Nabywaniec , Anne LeMaitre , Sandra
Franconi , Glenda Normand , Joan Scheffer, Mary Holland , Peter Scheffer, Judy Rowe ,
Susan Daly, Sharon Ryone , Marcia Otto , Sally Andreola, George Carey, Christine
Rossiter, Joanne Hughes , Cheryl Avery, Sandra Johnson , Chris Patterson , Cynthia
Mathison , Lauren Elliott- Grunes , Robert Harris , Dorothy Anderson , Thaddeus
Nabywaniec , and Francis Smith .

A total of 2146 Brewster citizens voted in person during this period , canceling a
total of 403 ballots that were previously mailed .
25 % of registered voters in Brewster opted for In-person early voting .

Normand / George Carey, Precinct One Clerk; Anne LeMaitre , Precinct 2 Clerk;
Cynthia Mathison / Sharon Ryone , Precinct 3 Clerk. The Checkers and Counters are
