MINUTES

PRESENT
Board: Chairperson Debbe Knutson and Members:
Jim Holahan, Doug Laraby and Steve Sumrall
Staff: Town Planner Catherine Trotter and Town Clerk Molly McCandless

Chair Knutson called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Avvroval of Minutes from the March 22, 2005 meeting
Mr. Sumrall moved, and Mr. Laraby seconded the motion to approve the minutes of
the March 22, 2005 meeting. Motion carried: 4-0
Public Heariae and Actioa Item
Safeway Marketplace Lot 3 -SRO Properties
Height variance request from 35' to 43'8"
Mr. Sumrall moved, and Mr. Holahan seconded the motion to open the Public
Hearing. Motion carried: 4-0. Planner Trotter stated that the Notice of Hearing
was published, adjacent property owners had been notified by the Applicant,
and the Fraser Board of Trustees had submitted an opinion (approval) on this
matter, as required. She briefly reviewed the application and Applicant Fred
Simmons presented his request. Following public comment and questions and
answers, Mr. Sumrall moved, and Mr. Laraby seconded the motioa to close the
Public Hearing. Motion carried: 4-0
Mr. Laraby moved, and Mr. Holahan seconded the motion that the application
meets the criteria for a variance, and to approve a height variance from 35 feet
to 43 feet and 8 inches. Motion carried: 4-0
Chair Knutson asked for items not on the agenda. There were none.
Mr. Sumrall moved, and Mr. Holahan seconded the motioa to adjourn. Motion
carried: 4-0, at 6:18 p.m.
