IMPORTANT NOTICE
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
Dear Residents of Oak Street:
The Department of Public Works and our contractor Commonwealth Construction & Utilities
have completed the installation of the underground water main. The next phase will be to
disconnect your temporary water service from the temporary surface water main and reinstall
the service to the new water main on Oak Street.
In order to make these connections, the contractor will need access to your basement. The
process typically takes 15 minutes. All of the contractor's personnel will be in full compliance
with the State of Massachusetts Department of Public Health's COVID-19 guidelines with
respect to social distancing and personal protective equipment.
This work will take place during the contractor's working hours of 7:00 AM — 5:00 PM, beginning
Monday, September 28, 2020. If you will not be home during this time on any of the days listed,
please call the contractor's number below to schedule a time outside of these hours.
