APPROVING RCA FUNDING FOR AFFORDABLE
HOUSING AT 49 ESSEX STREET
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret desires to provide additional affordable housing
opportunities with available Regional Contribution Agreement (RCA funding); and
WHEREAS, the Carteret Housing and Development Corporation (the "CHADCO ") has
proposed to provide a qualifying affordable housing unit at 49 Essex Street; and
WHEREAS, the Borough is willing to contribute a total of $35,000.00 in RCA funding
toward the rehabilitation of the affordable housing unit; and
WHEREAS, the Borough desires to designate the CHADCO as the Administrative
Agent for the unit in the 49 Essex Street Project.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Borough of Carteret as follows:
I. The Borough hereby agrees to contribute $35,000.00 in RCA funding for
the qualifying affordable housing unit to be identified as the 49 Essex
Street Project.
2. The appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized and directed to
take all actions needed to implement the provisions and intent of this
resolution.
3. The Borough hereby endorses CHADCO's application(s) for additional
affordable housing funding.
4. The Borough hereby designates the CHADCO as the Administrative
Agent for said unit in the 49 Essex Street Project.
