IMPORTANT NOTICE
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
Dear Residents of Piermont Street and Tappan Avenue:
The Department of Public Works and our contractor Commonwealth Construction &
Utilities have completed the installation of the underground water main. The next phase
will be to disconnect your temporary water service from the temporary surface water
main and reinstall the service to the new water main on Piermont Street and Tappan
Avenue.
Access to the basement will be reauired to complete this connection.
Homeowner approval and entry into your property will begin Monday, August 19, 2019
between the hours of 7 AM and 4 PM. If this time frame is inconvenient, please contact
the contractor's coordinator, Billy DiStefano at 617-909-5404
During this time the contractor will be accompanied by a Public Works representative
wearing a lime green safety vest labeled "Public Works" and will have a vehicle labeled
"Public Works" in very close proximity to the houses being entered.
