Exploratory Borings
PINE ST. ESSEX ST, NASH ST, OAK ST
Starting at 7:00 AM on Monday, April 22, 2019
April 18, 2019
Dear Residents of Pine Street, Essex Street, Nash Street and Oak Street:
New England Geotech, will be performing exploratory borings beginning on the above date and time. The
duration of the soil boring program is expected to be approximately two (2) weekdays (Monday through Friday)
during the hours of 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The soil boring work will include drilling boreholes, each approximately
2-inches in diameter using a truck mounted drill rig. At the completion of the soil test boring work, each borehole
will be backfilled and the ground surface will be restored or a monitoring well installed flush with the ground
surface.
Each boring will take approximately 1-3 hours and the crew should not be in your area long. Streets and driveways
will be kept accessible throughout the duration of the work. Disturbances to residents are anticipated to be minor,
but residents may notice elevated short-term noise levels and equipment working.
