IMPORTANT NOTICE FROM THE
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
Dear Residents and abutters of Priest Road:
Laboratory testing for water quality of the temporary water system piping has been
completed. The Department is now approving activation of the temporary water line.
A representative from the Town's Engineering Firm, Weston and Sampson and our
contractor, Commonwealth Construction & Utilities, will need access to each home to
connect the by-pass water main to each residence. This will utilize a hose connection to
the hose bib on the outside of each structure. Access to the basement will be
required to complete the connection.
Homeowner approval and entry into your property will begin tomorrow, Tuesday, July
18, 2017 between the hours of 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM. If this time frame is inconvenient,
please contact the contractor's coordinator, Chris DiStefano at 978-760-1230 for an
appointment.
During this time the contractor will be accompanied by a Public Works representative
wearing a lime green safety vest labeled "Public Works" and will have a vehicle labeled
Public Works in very close proximity to the houses being entered.
Upon completion of this task general excavation of the water main will commence. We
would like to thank you in advance for your cooperation.
