A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE YVONNE BURKE — JOHN D. HAM PARK
COMMUNITY CENTER PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR
DESIGNEE TO MAKE THE NECESSARY FUNDS APPROPRIATION AND
TRANSFER
WHEREAS, in June 2012, the California State Parks' Office of Grants and Local
Services (OGALS) awarded the City of Lynwood a grant for the construction of the
community building at the Yvonne Burke — John D. Ham Park; and
WHEREAS, said grant was in the amount of $5,000,000; and
WHEREAS, said project entails the construction of construction of the community
building and other par improvements at the Yvonne Burke — John D. Ham Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council approve the implementation of the Yvonne
Burke — John D. Ham Park Community Center Project in the FY 2012 -13 Capital
Improvement Program.
Section 2. The City will use the unappropriated General Fund until reimbursed
by the grant. Public Works staff will submit a reimbursement on a monthly basis for
actual expenditures incurred.
Section 3. That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to make the
following funds appropriation and transfer:

Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 4th day of September, 2012.
