A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE LINEAR PARK PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO MAKE THE NECESSARY FUNDS
APPROPRIATION AND TRANSFER
WHEREAS, in March 2012, the California State Parks' Office of Grants and
Local Services (OGALS) awarded the City of Lynwood a grant for the construction of
the Lynwood Linear Park Project; and
WHEREAS, said grant was in the amount of $4,949,957; and
WHEREAS, said project entails the construction of various recreational and park
improvements within the open space located on the south side of Fernwood Avenue
between Bullis Road and Atlantic Avenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council approve the implementation of the Lynwood
Linear Park Project in the FY 2012 -13 Capital Improvement Program.
Section 2. The City will use the unappropriated General Fund until reimbursed
by the grant. Public Works staff will submit a reimbursement on a monthly basis for
actual expenditures incurred.
Section 3. That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to make the
following funds appropriation and transfer:

Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
