ORDINANCE NO.42-2019
AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE TO BE KNOWN AS
THE SANITARY DISTRICT 2020 SALARY ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, Indiana Code 364-7-3 requires the Mayor to fix the compensation of each appointed
officer and employee of the city, departments, except police officers and firefighters,
prior to November I for the ensuing budget year subject to the approval of Common
Council; and
WHEREAS, The compensation fixed herein may not be increased during the budget year for which it
is fixed but may be reduced by the Mayor or Director for each appointive officer and employee
(with the exception of Board Members); except by amendment approved by Common
Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana that the
following positions be compensated not in excess of the respective sums hereafter set forth during the calendar year
2020, to wit:

TEMPORARY AND PART-TIME
In addition to the positions set forth above, the Board of Commissioners of the Richmond Sanitary
District may authorize temporary, part-time or seasonal employees provided that there are funds in the budget.
The Richmond Sanitary Board of Commissioners shall set compensation for these employees within the range
from $7.25 to $15.00 per.hour.
ADDMONAL COMPENSATION
In addition to the salaries set forth above (with the exception of Board Members) employees
shall be entitled to the same fringe benefits as set forth within the City of Richmond Personnel Policy or
as stated in negotiated contracts.
