NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the Council of the Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows: 1. The proposal from CME Associates for professional land surveying and engineering services with regard to Block 2701, Lots 8 thru 13, at a total cost not to exceed $7,500.00 is hereby approved. 2. This action is approved as an award of a professional services contract pursuant to N.J.S.A 40A:11- 5(1)(a) awarded pursuant to the Borough's Fair and Open process as authorized by law. 3. A copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's purchasing Department and CME Associates. Any additional fees required to address the problem shall be agreed upon In writing prior to continuing with the survey. Exceptions • The survey will depict only those utilities open to view at the time of survey. Any easements found in the public record supporting underground utilities will be shown on the survey. • Any land surveying, environmental and /or professional engineering services beyond the scope outlined above will be considered extra. Said fees will be based on the hourly rate or a fixed fee mutually agreed upon in writing. The above - quoted fees will be in effect for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of this proposal; however, the fees on the hourly rate schedule are subject to change by January 1 of each year. Should you accept our fee estimate, kindly provide a purchase order or professional services resolution authorizing same.
