A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD CERTIFYING
THE PRE - QUALIFIED LIST OF CONTRACTORS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
THE NEW CITY HALL AND COUNCIL CHAMBERS BUILDING PROJECT AND
AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR /CITY ENGINEER TO REQUEST
CONSTRUCTION BIDS FROM THE PRE - QUALIFIED CONTACTORS LIST
WHEREAS, new City Hall Council Chambers and City Hall Annex building
represent a major investment for the City; and
WHEREAS, when completed, these facilities will serve the community for at least
the next 40 to 50 years; and
WHEREAS, due to the size, type and nature of this project the City desires to
pre - qualify contractors for the construction phase of this project; and
WHEREAS, on September 7, 2010, the City Council approved the pre -
qualification of contractors for this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council approves and certifies the pre - qualified list of
contractors for the construction phase of New City Hall Council Chambers and City Hall
Annex buildings.
Section 2. That the Director of Public Works /City Engineer is authorized to
issue a Request for construction bids from the pre - qualified contractors list for the
construction phase of the New City Hall Council Chambers and City Hall Annex
buildings.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED on this 21 day of August, 2012.
