A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,
APPROVING STOP SIGN INSTALLATIONS ON LESAGE STREET AND HARRIS
AVENUE AND LESAGE STREET AND SAMPSON AVENUE AUTHORIZING THE
CITY ENGINEER TO INSTALL THE SIGN AND NECESSARY PAVEMENT
MARKINGS
WHEREAS, LeSage Street and Harris Avenue is a "Tee" intersection in the City
of Lynwood and currently this is an uncontrolled intersection; and
WHEREAS, LeSage Street and Sampson Avenue is a "Tee" intersection in the
City of Lynwood and currently controlled by stops signs on LeSage Street, the through
street; and
WHEREAS, due to existing conditions it is engineering staff's opinion that
installations of stop signs would be appropriate to more clearly designate the right -of-
way for these intersections.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood approves the
installation of stop signs, stop bars, pavement markings and end markers on eastbound
LeSage Street and Harris Avenue.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood approves the
installation of stop signs, stop bars and pavement markings on northbound Sampson
Avenue and LeSage Street.
Section 3. That the City Engineer is authorized to install the stop signs,
pavement markings and red curb as determined by engineering staff.
Section 4. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 4 th day of September, 2012.
