A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE MEMORANDUM OF
UNDERSTADING WITH THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY METROPOLITAN
TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY RELATING TO THE PROPOSITION `C' 40%
DISCRETIONARY FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City's fixed route commuter Blue Line trolley receives
Proposition C Discretionary funding assistance from MTA; and
WHEREAS, the Memorandum of Understanding for said funding for the Blue
Line trolley service, between the City of Lynwood and MTA has expired; and
WHEREAS, a new Memorandum of Understanding to continue Proposition C
Discretionary funding for the Blue Line trolley service has been submitted by MTA and:
WHEREAS, the City cif Lynwood wishes to continue providing the Blue Line
trolley service route.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Lynwood City Council hereby approves the Memorandum
of Understanding to Allocate Proposition C Discretionary Funds, MOU No.
MOU.PC13LYN2 between the City of Lynwood and MTA and authorizes the Mayor to
execute same.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 4 day of September, 2012.
