BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY
RESOLUTION NO. 3-1998
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond is currently involved in a project renovating upto
Richmond; and g p own
WHEREAS, said project has included the revision of Chapter 74 of the City of
Richmond Code as it relates to parking in the uptown area, specifically in
both existing and newly constructed parking lots; and
WHEREAS, in an effort to continuously improve the uptown area, the City of
Richmond has continued to encourage and receive feedback regarding
Parking issues in the uptown area; and
WHEREAS, this feedback has been compiled and considered by the Off - Street Parking
Committee which was established to explore the availability, costs, and
time limits of available parking in the uptown; and
WHEREAS, the Committee has recommended certain changes.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Public Works and Safet of
the City of Richmond, Indiana that said Board recommends that the Common Coun of
the City of Richmond, Indiana adopt the following changes to City of Richmond Code:
follows: 1. Section 74.47(b)(9) of the City of Richmond Code shall be amended to read as
9. North 6 Street Lot ( "American Legion" Lot)
a. Parking available with monthly parking pass only. Monthly
pass, $10.00
2. A new Section 74.470) will be added to the City of Richmond Code to read as
follows:
"The number and location of reserved spaces within any off - street parkin
facility shall be designated by the City Clerk. The City Clerk is also hereby g
delegated the authority to impose any reasonable regulation in any off-street
P facility as may be necessary for the efficient operation thereof."
