TOP COURSE PAVING
Dear Resident/Abutters:
Weather permitting, the Watertown Department of Public Works and our contractor
Onyx Construction will begin the process of installing the top course on the following
streets:
Friday, August 21, 2020: Begin on Piermont Street and Tappan Avenue; then
proceed to Chandler Street, Burnham Street and Bridgham Avenue,
Please note that this schedule is subject to change based on weather, availability
of asphalt trucks, production, etc. It is possible for the work to be ahead of or
behind schedule.
`No Parking' signs will be posted along the area selected for road work. Please do not
park your car in the posted area. Due to the need to allow the pavement to cool to
ensure quality control, parking restrictions and road closures will be strictly
enforced during this phase of the work. The Watertown Police will be informed of the
construction and its effects. Typical hours of construction work are from 7:00 AM to 4:00
PM.
We understand that the process is noisy, messy and disruptive and apologize in
advance for inconvenience you may experience. We know you will enjoy the improved
appearance and condition of your roadway for many years in the future.
