OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA
RESOLUTION NO. 10 -2006
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF LAND
WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works and Safety of Richmond, Richmond, Indiana
( "Board ") is the disposing agent for real property owned and to be
transferred or acquired by the City of Richmond, Indiana ( "City ")
pursuant to the provisions of Indiana Code (IC) 36 -1 -11, et. Seq. (the
"Act'); and
WHEREAS, The City of Richmond, Indiana, is the owner of certain real estate known
as the RP &L Johnson Street Sub - Station, and wishes to transfer such real
estate to Richmond Power and Light (RP &L), said real estate being
approximately 6.785 acres, more or less, and said real estate is described
in the Exhibit A, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference; and
WHEREAS, Richmond Power & Light (RP &L), a municipally owned utility company
owned by the City of Richmond, Indiana, has a sub - station known as the
RP &L Johnson Street Sub - Station and RP &L desires to acquire title to the
real estate on which the Johnson Street Sub - Station is located; and
WHEREAS, the management of Richmond Power & Light, desires to taking title to the
Johnston Street Sub - Station in its name, Richmond Power & Light, a
municipally owned utility company owned by the City Of Richmond,
Indiana; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works and
Safety of Richmond, Indiana that said Board approves the transfer of the real estate
described in attached Exhibit "A" from the city of Richmond, Indiana, to Richmond
Power & Light, a municipally owned utility company owned by the City of Richmond,
Indiana, for the sum of One Dollar ($1.00) and other valuable consideration, the receipt
of which is hereby acknowledged.
THIS RESOLUTION IS ADOPTED THIS day of November, 2006.
