WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36- 8- 3 -3(d) requires Common Council to fix the annual
compensation of all firefighters by ordinance before September 30 of each year for the ensuing
budget year, and
WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36- 8- 3 -3(d) also authorizes the Board of Public Works and Safety to fix the
compensation of members of the Fire Department if the Common Council fails to do so, and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Richmond Board of Works and
Safety that the following positions be compensated not in excess of the respective sums hereafter set forth during
calendar year 2008, to wit:
Section 1 — Fire Department
2.07 Additional Compensation. In addition to the bi- weekly salaries set forth in Sections 2.01 through 2.05 above,
all benefits agreed upon in the agreement dated July 17, 2008 between the Board of Public Works and Safety
on behalf of the City of Richmond, Indiana and the Richmond Professional Firefighters, Inc. AFL -CIO Local
1408 are hereby incorporated by reference.
THIS RESOLUTION IS ADOPTED THIS _ 31 st day of July , 2008.
